The cold weather is here just in time for the run-up to Thanksgiving! Make sure to grab your coat as it’ll be getting cold quick, and windy as well.

Weather
It’s currently 66° outside ( 6:27 AM ) and raining. Today is expected to be sunny, with a high of 71° and a low of 37°. Sunrise is set for 7:15 AM with sunset at 5:32 PM.
The rain should be ending over the next few hours as the cold front makes its final push through the area. In its wake will be plummeting temperatures and gusty winds.
Winds will be gusting from 15 to 30 MPH over the next several days, with lows in the lower 30’s and highs in the mid to lower 50’s.

The public service for K9 Titan will be this Friday at 2 PM at Unity Baptist Church ( 311 Smokey Rd, Newnan, GA )

Coweta County Schools Partner with Newnan Police Department to Conduct Safety Searches with K9
On Monday, November 18th, 2024, parents of students at Newnan Highschool and Evans Middle School were informed that the schools, in partnership with the Newnan Police Department, had conducted unannounced searches of common areas throughout the schools and had utilized both NPD SROs and K9 units.
The schools reiterated their emphasis on safety for students and staff while at school and stated that these unannounced searches would be an ongoing tool in their efforts to do that throughout the school year.
Woman Arrested for Threatening to “Blow Up” Applebee’s
Stacey Deloris Truitt, 42, of LaGrange, was arrested on Saturday, Nov 17th after employees of Applebee’s Bar and Grill in Newnan called 911 stating there was a customer that had threatened to “ Blow the place up “ during an ongoing dispute.
Officers with the Newnan Police Department arrived at the scene and located the suspect. They eventually arrested her, charging her with a felony count of Terroristic Threats and Acts as well as a count of Disorderly Conduct.
